FAQS

Coaching emerged in the 1980s and was mainly focused on athletic performance, but grew in popularity from the 1990s and 2000s encompassing now areas like health, relationships, finance, career, overall well-being, etc.

A coach helps you move towards your personal and professional goals for better success. A coach has a complete toolbox and provides you with specific tools, support and accountability fully adapted to you. A coach “sees” your blind spots or fears among others, help you be aware of those, help you decide what is good for you, help you build your confidence to move forward and help you to finally take action towards your goals.

An excellent coach is someone who listens with judgment, truly understands your perspective, holds you accountable and holds a trusting, open and confidential space for you. It is very important you feel comfortable with and understood by your coach. That is why a first free call is important for us to get to know each other better.

A coach doesn’t prescribe diets, diagnosis, treat or cure any disease. A coach is not to address mental health issues such as depression, PTSD or ADHD. A mental health specialist would be required in this case.

You cannot expect immediate results with coaching as most of the work comes from you. A coach helps you make plans, address problems and work towards achieving goals, but these things take time. Small steps are required to change habits and what has not worked previously. Patience is key as there are never quick solutions in our complex lives.

A coach is a mentor, a teacher, a supporter, a cheerleader and much more! Everyone needs a coach and even coaches do! Some of the world’s most successful people have used a life coach such as Oprah, Leonardo DiCaprio and Serena Williams.
